A Rainy Memorial Day?

I thought I should post these pictures taken yesterday (Saturday) because they may be the only outside pics that get taken this weekend. Ella Kate had a big time riding in her car and swinging in her swing. I hope everyone enjoyed yesterday because I think the rest of the Memorial Day weekend will be rainy and stormy. At least here anyway. I hope everyone has a very Happy and Safe Memorial Day and remember why we celebrate the day. Love, Amy

WHEW!!!

Ok, so now I'm all caught up on our last couple of months! As you can see we have been busy! Hopefully, with school getting out in a couple of weeks we will finally be able to slow down. Until next time. Good night!

5/16 Baby Shower for Stacy and Baby Cadyn Clay

I co-hosted a baby shower for Scott's cousin, Stacy with her sister-in-law Jessica. We had a big time and she got so many cute things. Ella Kate and McKenzi were the welcome wagon. They got so excited when people would drive up.
Look at all the presents! Cadyn Clay can't get here soon enough.

McKenzi is going to be a great big sister. She already has the T-shirt!

She decided that the bumbo seat was just her size. Too cute!

Thanks Jessica for all your hard work and thanks Ann for everything you did! It was a great time. Cadyn Clay will be here before we know it!

5/15 Welcome Talyn Leigh Ramsey!

Scott's cousin, Sara, and her husband, Byron, added a baby girl to their family. Tyson and Taylor are her big brothers! Please keep this family in your prayers as Talyn was born 4 weeks early and is in the NICU. Welcome Talyn and we can't wait to meet you!

5/12 HMS Spring Choir Concert

Allison's Spring Choir Concert was last Tuesday. It was FANTASTIC!!! Kudos to Mr. Kennedy, her teacher. They sang and danced and did a GREAT job! They were awesome!
The ending performance was a dance. If you have never seen "Evolution of Dance" on Youtube.com check it out. This wasn't the exact dance, I think it's better.

Allison's teacher, Mr. Kennedy even got in on the dance. He choreographed the entire dance!

5/10 Happy Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Scott and Allison sang a special today at church as a Mother's Day gift to me. They both have beautiful voices and their song was wonderful! Thank you both, I love you very much!
After church we had a photo session. Me and the girls.

Scott & I

Kyle & I

We then met my mom, dad, brother, and sister at a local restaurant. We had a wonderful lunch, took some pictures, and then headed home for a Mother's Day nap! :)

My brother, Bobby & Ella Kate.

Kyle left early so he missed out on getting his picture made with us. I know he was upset. LOL!

My sister and my mom. As you can see, I look like neither one of them. When we were little people used to say to my mom. Oh, you adopted and then you had twins!

The three "Love" children with Mama.

5/2 Mother Daughter Banquet

Allison, Ella Kate, and I went to a Mother/Daughter Banquet with Scott's mom and Grandma at Grandma's church. Allison and Scott's mom sang and did a GREAT job! It was a really good time. We ate, had a devotional, had a great talent program, and did a lot of laughing.
Below, is Allison, Scott's mom, Martha, myself, Grandma, and Ella Kate.

My 2 sweet girls!

5/2 Kentucky Derby Breakfast

Every year we attend a Derby breakfast given by the Kentucky Colonels at the Pioneers (who have the best food) Building. Our family rule is that you have to be 17 or 18 to attend so Kyle is the only one of our children who can go. Scott was not able to attend this year so that is why there are no pictures of him. He was calling volleyball matches. We always have a big time and this year Kyle won a cookbook (which he gave to my sister), my dad won something but I can't remember what it was, and I won $20.00! In the words of William Turner, local historian, we ate, sang My Old Kentucky Home, cried, and went home. A good time was had by all and we took the opportunity to take some pictures. Above is a pic of myself, my sister, Jennifer, my brother, Bobby, my mom, and my dad.
Below, is a picture of Kyle and myself.
The 3 "Love" Children as we are still called. I'm the oldest, Bobby is the middle child, and Jennifer is the baby.

Here we are with my Daddy.

Here is a really good picture of my mom and dad. I can't believe that they are 65 and almost 64. They don't look anywhere near that old!

4/28 Welcome Eleanor "Ellie" Whitney Evans

Scott's cousin, Mark & his wife, Melanie welcomed a sweet baby girl on Tuesday, April 28th! Welcome Ellie! We can't wait to meet you.

4/27 Allison & Her Back Problems

For the last couple of years, Allison has been having some back problems. She's seen Dr.'s, done physical therapy-you name it. She went to Vanderbilt and had an MRI done on 4/9 and a bone scan (see pic below) on 4/27. Both tests came back normal and now the Dr. at Vanderbilt has recommended physical therapy to help strengthen her back. He believes all the tumbling, cheering, dancing, stunting, etc. she's been doing since the age of 3 has finally caught up with her. She did sit out a whole year from all activities and it just about killed her. I think she'd rather be in pain than not do anything at all. She's a very active young lady and very courageous!

4/22 Allison Makes HHS Cheerleading!

I don't have any pictures of this because:

1. It was closed tryouts.

2. We were in Nashville with Ella Kate for her procedure.

3. Mom, I just don't want you to take a picture.

Anyway, Allison is now an official Hopkinsville High School Cheerleader for the 2009-2010 year! She's following in my footsteps! I'll be sure to post tons of pictures once the football season starts in August. It will be here before you know it.

Also, the HHS cheer squad has been invited to perform at halftime of the Gator Bowl on New Year's Day! How exciting! It looks like we may be spending New Year's in Jacksonville! I'll update more on that when I find out more.

4/22 Ella Kate's Stints Are Removed at Vanderbilt

Ella Kate had the stints that were implanted during her surgery in February removed. The procedure went well, but she had a hard time waking up after surgery. I found out that redheads are harder to put to sleep, harder to wake up, and bleed more. Who knew?? Also, when they do wake up they are MEAN!! Luckily, Ella Kate was not too bad. She just wanted something to drink because she had gone about 17 hours without anything to eat or drink. She goes back on May 20th for another check-up and hopefully that will be our last visit for a while. She's not crying in the photo below because she's at the hospital. She's crying because she wanted my camera. I have quite a few pictures like this all of a sudden! Love Puppy is waiting for her to wake up!

4/18 Happy First Birthday, Mia Emerson!

Ella Kate and I helped her little friend, Mia Emerson, celebrate her first birthday. Mia was a little overwhelmed but soon dove into her birthday cake which was the cutest thing ever! Mia has an older sister who is 14 days younger than Allison and Mia is 18 days younger than Ella Kate. The party was a big hit and Ella Kate had a great time!

4/12 We spent Easter with a sick baby girl!

Our Easter this year was spent at home with a very sick baby girl. Ella Kate had a viral infection with a very high fever. She missed out on all the Easter egg hunts, family gatherings, and church. The above picture is the 2nd day she ran a fever. I know, you should leave sick babies in their pajamas, but I just couldn't. I had been so excited about her wearing her new "Easter" outfits that I just had to put them on her. The below picture is the weekend before she got sick.
The below picture was taken on Good Friday, the day we took her to the Dr. the first time. Bless her heart she felt terrible.

The day before Easter I went to my mom & dad's with Kyle & Allison while Scott stayed home with Ella Kate. Here is my brother, Bobby, Kyle, Kyle's girlfriend, Leslie-Ann, and my nephew playing with my brother's new cornhole game.
Here are my sister Jennifer's 3 children, Emma, Ethan, & Eli getting ready to hunt Easter eggs and Nannie and Grunt's (my parents).
Kyle, Bobby, and my dad hit golf balls while the kids were hunting eggs and every now and then one of them would pick up a golf ball and think it was an egg.

Kyle & Leslie-Ann's Easter baskets.
Here Allison and Ella Kate are looking through their Easter baskets. Ella Kate was born 3 days before Easter last year, but was in the NICU. So this is the first time she has really gotten to celebrate Easter and then she got sick. Bless her heart.

Allison and Scott on Easter morning. I stayed home with Ella Kate while they went to church and then over to Scott's parents. Scott is the music director at church so he had to be there. Don't they look nice?

This is what Ella Kate would have worn if she had gotten to go on Easter Sunday and not been sick. Let me tell you about the deal I got on this dress. This dress is from Strasburg and it is in stores now for well over $100.00! I got this dress on ebay for $35.00!! It was new without tags and is gorgeous! I was very lucky to find such a deal.
